Harley Davidson motorcycles are celebrating a landmark anniversary from August28 - 31, 2008. The Harley Davidson 105th Anniversary will be commemorated by a big blow-out festival with music and entertainment. In addition to the festival, the new Harley Davidson Museum in Milwaukee opens on July 12, 2008.
Roads to Milwaukee
Excitement will build as Harley riders rumble to Milwaukee from along organized routes. There will be 25 routes from 105 starting points. The routes will be gathering riders as they trayel. Routes will originate from the east and west coasts and head toward the Midwest starting on August 17.
Roads traveling to Milwaukee from the West include Mobile Route, Glendale Route, San Diego Route, San Francisco Route, New Orleans Route, Bend Route, McAllen Route, Odessa Route, San Antonio Route, St. George Route and Seattle Route.
Roads traveling to Milwaukee from the East include Washington Route, Fort Myers Route, Miami Route, Savannah Route, Boston Route, Bangor Route, Port Huron Route, Raleigh Route, Concord Route, Atlantic City Route, New York Route, Providence Route, Myrtle Beach Route and Richmond Route.
Harley Davidson Festival in Milwaukee August 28 - 31, 2008.
Harley Davidson fans will be riding to scenic downtown Milwaukee for a festival event to be held on the Summerfest Grounds and on the grounds of the Harley Davidson Museum. The museum, which opens on July 12, will be closed while the festival is held on the grounds.
The Summerfest Grounds will rock out with four main stages of entertainment. Following are the scheduled entertainers.
- Friday, August 29, 12 pm to 11 pm: Big Head Todd and The Monsters, Los Lonely Boys, Foghat, ZZ Top, Dr. John, Black Rebel Motorcycle Clout, Black Crowes, Gary Alland and War.
- Saturday, August 30, 12 pm to 11 pm: Peter Frampton, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Blind Melon, Dierks Bentley, Puddle of Mudd, Buddy Guy, Daughtry, Blue Oyster Cult and Cameo.
Roadhouse at the Lakefront
- Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will be performing outside the Summerfest Grounds at the Roadhouse at the Lakefront on August 30 at 9 pm. A separate ticket is required for the Bruce Springsteen Band.
- Foo Fighters with Three Days Grace will perform at the Roadhouse at the Lakefront on Friday, August 29 at 7 pm.
Activities at the Harley Davidson 105th Anniversary Festival
The festival will include a Kick-off party, Main Street Exhibition, H-D Exhibit at the Discovery Word, Summerfest Grounds Entertainment, parade, demo rides, police skills competition, dealership activities and daily street parties.
Ticket Information
Tickets can be purchased on the Harley Davidson website. 105th Anniversary Celebration Ticket Packages are $65.00. Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band at the Roadhouse at the Lakefront tickets are $42.50. Tickets for both the 105h Anniversary Celebration and the Bruce Springsteen concert are $107.50.
Tickets to the Bruce Springsteen Band can only be purchased by ticketholders of the 105th Anniversary Festival.
