Canadian Pacific Transports Holiday Cheer
Canadian Pacific's train is a spectacular sight as it travels through countryside in the dark of night. The brightly lit engine and cars have been decorated by CP volunteers to contribute to the merriment and festivities of the Christmas season. The CP holiday train encourages the spirit of giving as volunteers at the stations along the way collect contributions of food and money to benefit local food pantries.
Entertainment on the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train
Featured entertainers on the Canadian CP Train are Tracey Brown, a Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame member; and Johnny Reid, a Canadian Country Music Awards winner. The Holiday Train Producer is Randall Prescott. The entertainers put on a holiday show at each stop along the route.
The atmosphere at the stops along the way is festive. People gather early and wait to see the brightly decorated red train. At some stops there is entertainment before the train arrives, so arrive early to catch all the fun. The train pulls into the stop, a boxcar opens and the entertainment begins. Shows are approximately a half hour long and then the train departs to bring cheer to the next town.
